What is it?

CareerSearch® provides fast Web access to over 6.5 million key contacts, including: company descriptions, addresses, names, web pages, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses. Using this database, you can:

  • Find extensive information on organizations in healthcare, industry, technology, non-profits and governmental agencies.
  • Use a broad range of search criteria to find potential opportunities. Search by industry, geographic region, city, company size, keywords, and even industry competitors.

Results are downloadable in word processor, spreadsheet, or text email format.

How do I start?

Like MySpartanCareer, CareerSearch® creates a personal user account that allows you to store customized searches.

As a first-time user, select "Create a new account". It will ask you to designate a username and password, your first and last name, plus your email address (the "Client Referral" field will be filled in automatically). The rest of the information requested on the form is optional.

For subsequent uses, you will only need to enter your username and password.

NOTE: MSU has a limited number of "accounts" on the system. On rare occasions, all the accounts may be in use, in which case CareerSearch® will ask you to try logging on at a later time.
