CAREER FAIR PREP – Webinar
Tuesday, January 22
4:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Location: Web based presentation
REGISTER TODAY: Visit MySpartanCareer.com for details and to RSVP. Find webinar listed under Events tab, then Workshops tab.
Make sure your MySpartanCareer.com Profile is updated and your resume is uploaded.
Why? You may be directed by a company at the event to apply for a position/on-campus interview via MySpartanCareer.com. You may also be required to apply on-line to the company website in order to be considered an official candidate. Saying ―”I have already submitted my resume through your website….”makes you sound organized, prepared, and interested.
Open positions and interviews.
Every company has a different hiring process so you will need to do some research on how the organizations you are interested in are handling resumes and follow up interviews. Some companies interview the day following the event while others will be returning to campus at a later date or contacting students directly to set up follow up interviews.
In addition, some of the companies have listed their open jobs/internships within their event registration but others have listed their positions on the MySpartanCareer.com job board. Make sure you check not only the registration and the MySpartanCareer.com job board but the company website for opportunities.
Parking–Students can park in the Kellogg Ramp (fees are the responsibility of the student). If the ramp is full we have made arrangements for free parking in Lot 66A on the corner of Kalamazoo and Harrison (across from the Breslin Center), and in lot 63W behind the Breslin Center accessed from Harrison Road. Access campus map.
Coat Check–there will be a student coat check available in the Kellogg Center lobby (across from the hotel front desk). Cost is $2.00. Proceeds go to Alternative Spring Break programs.
Bring your student ID to be scanned at the door.
In an effort to reduce the amount of paper we use at career fairs we will not be printing an event booklet. Instead we will post an on-line version of the booklet. We will still have maps/company layouts for you when you arrive.
