We’re looking for an undergraduate student to help care for plants and support ongoing floriculture research in our greenhouses. No prior greenhouse experience is required- training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Water plants and assist with daily crop care
- Open and close black cloths daily for photoperiod experiments
- Perform basic soil testing
- Keep greenhouse areas clean and organized
- Propagation, stock plant management and scouting for insects and diseases
What We’re Looking For
- Undergraduate student with an interest in plants, science, or agriculture
- Able to work independently and manage tasks responsibly
- Dependable and punctual, especially for early morning shifts and weekends
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Willing to do hands-on, physical work (standing, bending, light lifting)
- Previous greenhouse or plant care experience is a plus, but not required
Schedule & Commitment
Position runs approximately January 2026 – December 2026 (including summer)
Must be available for at least two weekday morning shifts starting at 8:00 AM
Ability to work 1–2 weekends per month is required
Opportunity for extension beyond December 2026
