Position summary: This position will work at the JSRI location to assist in data analysis of large datasets. This position will also require data transformation and analysis of quantitative data. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a senior researcher staff to assist in carrying out research studies in a team setting.
Responsibilities: Data transformations, data quality control, statistical data analysis, literature reviews, and writing of manuscripts. Participate in the mandatory weekly meeting with a senior research staff. Work with minimal supervision, plans, organizes, and coordinates multiple work assignments and establishes and maintains effective working relationships with others. Perform other tasks as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
- M.S. or M.A. degree in social, agricultural, epidemiology and health sciences preferred.

Preferred:
- Linear and non-linear models and advanced statistical knowledge: hierarchical linear models, growth curve models, and structural equation models
- Prior survey, research experience and data analysis.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Quantitative data analysis experience using statistical software such as SPSS, STATA or HLM.
