Late Night Food Service Assistant
Location: LANDON HALL (West Circle)
Starting Pay: $14.73/hour*
*Due to the minimum wage increase at MSU, the starting rate for this position is going to be $16 effective 8/9/26. Those hired prior to 8/9/26 will also be brought to the new minimum on this effective date.
Unit Expectations:
Must be willing and able to work late-night shifts between 7 pm and 12 am.
As a Night Associate and under the supervision of the on-shift full-time and student supervisors, a Student Food Service Assistant (Landon late-night service) will help Culinary Services achieve its mission of Delivering Outstanding Spartan Experiences by providing exceptional customer service to our residents and guests.

Typical Duties May Include:
May be assigned to any of the following duties:
Maintaining residential dining food venues
Cooking, preparing, and/or serving food
Accommodate customer needs, answer questions, and solve problems
Venue and/or kitchen clean-up after meal service
Working in the dish room
Maintaining cleanliness and supplies in operation
May be reassigned during the shift, depending on operational needs.
Contribute to a positive work and shopping environment for all customers in a collaborative work environment.
During your shift, you will report to the Student Supervisors, full-time team members, and management staff on duty. You will be responsible for performing tasks as assigned by any of the supervising employees who work in the area to which you’ve been assigned.
