Virtual Career Center

Online resources and information to help support your career interests and goals!

Virtual advising appointments via Zoom and phone are available through Handshake. Once logged in, click on the “Career Center” tab in the top right-hand corner of your home page, and then click on “appointments” to schedule a time that works for you.

All jobs and internships are posted on Handshake. More than 60,000 job postings are posted on Handshake for MSU students each year. Use a search agent to receive alerts for new employment opportunities that match your specific interests.

Choices360 is a free online assessment that will help you explore career options based on your interests. Type Choices360 in the search bar on the career services website or contact a career advisor for more information.

Prepare now for your next videoconference interview using InterviewStream. Premade interview sets allow you to practice your responses and send a recorded copy to a mentor or career advisor for critique. 

   

Find an alumni mentor based on your preferred location, industry, or organization name on MSU Connect. You can also join interest groups, access valuable resources, explore career paths, request assistance with interview preparation and much more through this new resource.

    

Access tools and resources to help you explore graduate school and to learn more about the admissions process. You can also find tips for writing a personal statement for applying to grad school on the Career Services website.

GoinGlobal is a free online resource that provides worldwide career and employment information, including job and internship postings, H1B employer listings, and career resources. International students will find a wide range of resources and information on the Career Services website!

   

 

Candid Career Videos provide a fun and effective way to explore careers. Hundreds of 1-2-minute videos are available to view and explore new and exciting career fields. Visit often to see the full and growing library of videos!

    

"What Can I Do With This Major?" is an online database that will help you learn about typical career areas and the types of employers for nearly 100 different majors. The career services website also has information about interest fields resources, career assessments, occupational research tools, and more!
