The Student Technical Assistant will support the Research Evaluation and Data Analytics Team of MSU AgBioResearch (ABR) and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR). Day-to-day responsibilities of the technical assistant will include the following:
Assist in research evaluation studies, data collection, synthesis, and data (visualization) analytics for the Office of Research Support, CANR, and ABR.
Design, develop, and manage existing and new databases and data libraries to sustainably manage, archive, and enable access to CANR/ABR data and analytics based on MSU’s institutional data policy.
Design and implement business process automation workflows to support research evaluation and data analytics tasks.
Other duties that may be assigned.
Skills preferred:
Data cleaning and prepping
Python coding and troubleshooting
Microsoft Excel and pivot summaries
Communication and outreach with stakeholders
Database/SharePoint management
Tableau and/or PowerBI dashboard and visualization
Workflow automation and maintenance
Project planning and schedule management
