Technical Interns in Education (TIE) primary goal is to provide support for Erickson classrooms, conference rooms, equipment checkouts, and be a resource for College Faculty, Staff, and students seeking basic equipment and software training. As a TIE you will also get a chance to explore new technology and develop skills that will help you understand how to incorporate technology in the classroom.
Daily work involves greeting walk-in clients and answering phone calls. You will also be:
- Checking out equipment which often involves answering questions about equipment use
- Preparing iPads and laptops for individual or class use
- Setting up Zoom meetings or Zoom connections for classes
- Updating iPad, Mac, and Windows laptop software
- Directing visitors to the proper resources in the College
Training is on the job.

Required skills:
- Customer service experience
- Ability to work both in a team and independently
- Strong work ethic and ability to learn on the job
- Excellent communication and written English language skills
We typically are able to offer ongoing employment until you graduate. We also have spring and winter break, as well as summer work hours available.
