To help candidates understand the value of working with the Career Services Network (CSN), our job postings highlight the career competencies they can expect to develop through comprehensive onboarding, ongoing professional development, increasing responsibility, and regular coaching and feedback. 

• Career & Self-Development: Strengthen your own career readiness while helping peers navigate career exploration, professional development, and the effective use of career planning resources.

• Communication: Develop strong verbal and written communication skills by offering 1:1 advising to peers, delivering presentations, explaining career resources and technology, engaging with alumni and employers, and creating compelling content for newsletters, social media, and other communications.

• Critical Thinking: Analyze information, solve problems, prioritize competing tasks, and evaluate data to support informed decision-making, continuous improvement, and accurate reporting.

• Equity & Inclusion: Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment by supporting students, alumni, employers, and campus partners from diverse backgrounds with cultural awareness, empathy, and equitable service.

• Leadership: Take initiative by leading projects, coordinating events, delivering presentations, and assuming ownership of responsibilities from planning through execution.
